Evolution Valley and Evolution Lake Panorama - John Muir Trail
Panorama from a ridge above Evolution Lake on the lower lip of Evolution Basin. The John Muir Trail runs from ENE up Evolution Valley at left center, with the three pointed Hermit at left. At center, the trail winds up the slope to Evolution Lake at right, the bottom end of Evolution Basin, which the trail winds up E then S then SE for another 6 miles to Muir Pass.
